State of LGBTQIA+ In the Outdoors

LGBTQIA+ people lack representation, access, safety, opportunity, and overall visibility in the outdoors.

The LGBTQIA+ community is diverse in every way, from income to location to skills. This makes it challenging for outdoor groups to figure out how to include everyone. Additionally, LGBTQIA+ folks often feel left out in the great outdoors. These places can be expensive, and hard to access, and safety can be an issue, because of discrimination. LGBTQIA+ people often hide their true selves when they’re out there, which leads to missed opportunities for connection.

But @GaysOfNationalParks is changing that. We’re building a community where LGBTQIA+ folks from all walks of life can share their stories and experiences in nature. We’re also teaming up with Public Lands to create safe spaces for everyone.

The platform allows LGBTQIA+ individuals from all walks of life to tell their own authentic stories and experiences using nature as a backdrop. By providing the LGBTQIA+ community with a platform, we empower individuals to influence each other by sharing their own stories with one another.

We’re connecting LGBTQIA+ from all over, thanks to the beauty and uplifting serenity of the great outdoors!
